This weeks blog is a bit different to my usual ones… today I am going to give you the recipe for my #Healthy Mug Cake.
Let’s face it, we all crave yummy snacks and somehow these cravings happen more when you’re trying to be careful and keep your diet strict.. here is the recipe for my guilt free Mug Cake, to help you stick to your diet, cheat clean and reach your goals:
In a mug beat 1 egg with 50ml milk (I use almond or hazelnut milk. Tip. BE CAREFUL a lot of the ‘healthy’ milk replacements are full of nasties so check the label!). Add 1 scoop of protein powder (I use chocolate because I am a complete chocoholic) and an optional sprinkle of cinnamon. Beat into a thick mix. (Lick the fork if you’re not scared of salmonella, it’s delicious!!)
Drop a couple blocks of dark chocolate and/or some nut butter in the centre.
Microwave for 1 minute.
In a bowl mix some greek yogurt and add anything you want to it like cacao nibs, more nut butter (careful with the calories), honey, agave, more protein powder…. Pour the Mug Cake over this and its done!!
I love pouring my Mug Cake over some ricotta mixed with vanilla/white chocolate protein powder.
